Monthly Programs
Young Women’s Group
This program offers presentations and group discussions on a variety of medical, psychological and family issues relevant to young women with breast cancer. Invited professionals and young survivors lead each session. Dates and times are announced via our email distribution list and can be found on our calendar.

Young Women’s Health
A health centered program open to all young women with breast cancer. Activities vary each month and include walking, hiking, biking, yoga, and other fun, low-impact exercise programs. Group members support one another in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and exercise routine. Dates and times are announced via our email distribution list and can be found on our calendar.

Young Women’s Club
For this program we meet to discuss a book, article or movie. Young Women’s Club offers an inviting and comfortable environment in which to share your story, learn from other young women, and support women as they face the challenges of living with breast cancer at a young age. Dates and times are announced via our email distribution list and can be found on our calendar.

On Going Programs
Young Women’s Peer Network
This program is structured to help young women seeking support in a one-on-one setting. We pair a young survivor with a young woman who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer or who has experienced a recurrence. Peers are paired using shared clinical and family characteristics. Contact Jennifer Staed or Jennifer Ivanovich if you with to be paired or if you wish to serve as a peer advisor.

Young Women’s Email
Our confidential email distribution list is used to provide updated announcements, and information about programs and services made available by our Young Women’s Breast Cancer Program. Contact Jennifer Ivanovich to be added to the confidential email distribution list.

Young Women’s Yahoo Discussion Group
Our Yahoo group was developed to facilitate discussion among group members throughout the year. Ask a question, post an update, stay connected. Contact Jennifer Staed to be added to the Yahoo group. Women who live in the St. Louis region and who participate in our program are invited to join.

Annual Symposium
Young Women’s Breast Cancer Symposium
Our one-day symposium explores the unique aspects of living beyond breast cancer at a young age. Diverse topics are presented through the day. Topics include but are not limited to: updates in breast cancer treatment, psychological well-being, family issues, talking with your children about cancer, sexuality, pregnancy after treatment, cancer genetics, single women as young survivors, health and nutrition, living with metastatic disease, art and music therapy, and tapping into your spirituality throughout the healing process.

This year the symposium will be held on Saturday November 8, 2008. The symposium is open to all young women with breast cancer and young survivors. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children or family members attending.
